Tianjin Binhai Airport (TSN): four ways to leave the airport

Tianjin Binhai International Airport (TSN) is in Dongli District, about 13 km from the city centre. The options are Metro Line 2, the late-night airport bus (to Tianjin and Tianjin West stations) that runs from 23:00, the Airport Line 4 bus to the Wanxincun South stop, and coaches to the Jizhou and TEDA (Economic-Technological Development Area) city air terminals.

Which one suits you depends on when you land and where you are heading. This post lists where to board, hours and fares for each option, plus the late-night terminal access rules that apply from 24 July 2026 and a short arrival-day checklist. Check official information for journey times.

Metro Line 2: Tianjin Railway Station, Italian Style Town, Gulou

Metro Line 2 (Caozhuang – Binhai International Airport) starts at the airport station and calls at Tianjin Railway Station, Jianguodao Yifengqu (Italian Style Town), Dongnanjiao and Gulou, among others. A ride costs up to CNY 5.

Trains toward the airport run 06:00–22:55 and toward Caozhuang 06:00–22:54 (first to last train). Hours can change, so check the metro's official notices. The metro helpline is 022-85568890. For journey times, check official information.

Hebei District, home to the Italian Style Town, and the old town area of Nankai District, with the Drum Tower, Ancient Culture Street, the Tianhou Temple and the Confucius Temple, are easy to get around on Metro Line 2. Tianjin Railway Station sits on the Haihe River, and from Century Clock Square and Jiefang Bridge in front of it you can explore on a riverside walk. Landing late: the late-night airport bus (to Tianjin and Tianjin West stations)

Airport Metro Line 2 stops running around 22:55. After that, the late-night airport bus runs every 30 minutes from 23:00.

Board outside Gate 5 under the bridge at Terminal 2; tickets are sold opposite Gate 7 in the Terminal 2 arrivals hall. Stops include Weiguodao Taiyangcheng, Tianjin Railway Station (rear square) and Tianjin West Station, the last stop. Fares are CNY 15 to Tianjin Railway Station and other stops, and CNY 20 to Tianjin West.

Service varies from day to day, so call 022-24906296 before you ride. It is also worth asking about the last bus on the same number.

The Airport Line 4 bus and coaches to Jizhou and TEDA

The Airport Line 4 bus is a city bus from the airport to the Wanxincun South stop. It leaves the airport at 14 set times from 07:10 to 20:40, and the fare is CNY 2. Times can change, so check the bus company's notices.

Coaches to the Jizhou city air terminal leave from inside Gate 8 on the Terminal 2 ground floor (arrivals level), six times a day from 10:30 to 20:30, for CNY 50. "Airport Line 7" to the TEDA city air terminal leaves from outside Gate 7 on the Terminal 2 ground floor every hour from 08:00 to 21:00, for CNY 25. Same-day notices apply, so check before you go.

Dule Temple, Panshan and the Huangyaguan Great Wall in Jizhou are far from the city, so set aside a full day for them. If Jizhou is on your plan, check the airport–Jizhou coach times (airport departures 10:30–20:30) in advance.

Terminal access 00:00–04:00, from 24 July 2026

From 24 July 2026 most airport terminal doors close 00:00–04:00. During those hours use Gate 7 at Terminal 2 (departures and arrivals levels); for Terminal 1, enter by Terminal 2 Gate 7 and take the third-floor link. Island A of the Terminal 2 underground transport centre is exit-only.

If you will leave the terminal after midnight or need to get in before 04:00, find Terminal 2 Gate 7 first.
