Three ways from Taoxian Airport into the city

From Shenyang Taoxian International Airport (SHE) there are three ways into town: Metro Line 2, the airport bus (Shenyang Station / Shenyang North Station) and taxi. The airport has its own Line 2 station, Taoxianjichang (Taoxian Airport), and the airport bus leaves from the bus station in front of T3. A taxi is handy with heavy luggage or a late arrival.

First check that Shenyang Taoxian International Airport (SHE) is the airport on your ticket. For metro and taxi fares and journey times, check the official information before you go.

Metro Line 2: board right at the airport

The airport has its own Metro Line 2 station, Taoxianjichang (Taoxian Airport). Line 2 runs to Qingniandajie, Shenyang North Station and Beilinggongyuan, and you can change to Line 1 at Qingniandajie. For Mukden Palace, change to Line 1 at Qingniandajie and get off at Zhongjie; the palace is a 10-minute walk from Zhongjie.

Journey time depends on your stop; check the official information for fares. From 1 April to 31 October 2026, last trains on Lines 1, 2, 4, 9 and 10 leave at 23:00 in both directions, and on Line 3 at 20:00. Check the official information for hours from November.

Since June 2024, staffed ticket windows at 20 metro stations, including the airport and Zhongjie, accept overseas bank cards. Carry some cash in case a payment fails.

Airport bus: from the bus station in front of T3 towards Shenyang Station

Per the Shenyang Transport Bureau timetable (posted May 2026), the airport bus leaves from the Taoxian Airport bus station. It is in front of T3, and the waiting hall is in the lobby of parking building A.

Buses leave every 40 minutes from 9:30 and run via Wulihe, Dianshitai and Maluwan to Shenyang Station. The route is 36 km long and the fare is CNY 15. Check the official timetable for the last departure and the journey time.

Taxi: for heavy luggage or a late arrival

A taxi is handy with heavy luggage or a late arrival. Taxis are metered; check the official information for fares. Journey time depends on traffic.

Have your hotel address ready in Chinese to show the driver. Taxis in the city are metered too, and they are handy for outlying sights such as Dongling Park.
